Easyster (including Proaster)
This page provides instructions on how to connect the coffee roasting software, Firescope, with the Easyster roasting machine.
1. Go to Machine page.
2. Click Add New Machine to open the dialog. Enter nickname to distingush your machine. If your Easyter has an air pressure controller installed, select preset for Easyster w/ Air Pressure; otherwise, select preset Common MODBUS Serial.
3. Click the Serial Port drop-down to select the correct port
In Windows, it is highly likely to be the ports other than COM1 and COM2 (COM3, COM4, ....), so please select the appropriate port. If you have connected the ports for sure, but no ports are visible, go to the page below and take action.
On a Mac, a serial port in the format /dev/tty.usbserial-XXXXXXX is most likely the correct port.
If no ports are listed as options, select the appropriate driver for your operating system, restart the computer, and then try again. Press the Create button on the form and select Roasting Machine. If set correctly, the roasting machine will have temperatures in the right corner within 10 seconds. If it still doesn't show up correctly, please request support from us.
