Password Reset

Here's a guide on how to reset the password for your Firescope account.

Please note that you need to remember the email address associated with your account for this process to work. If you've forgotten your email address, please contact us for assistance rather than proceeding with this guide.

If logged in, log out first

If you're already logged into Firescope when you open the app, you'll need to log out. Click the nickname button in the top right and select "Sign out"

If you see the login page as below, you've successfully logged out.

Sending password reset email

Click the "Forgot Password" button on the login page to open the dialog for sending a password reset email.

Enter the email address associated with your Firescope account. Make sure it's the correct email format to successfully send the reset email.

If the email is correct, you'll see a message saying, "We have send you a password reset email" confirming that the email has been sent.

If the email is not associated with any account, you'll receive a message indicating that there's no record of that email. Please double-check or contact us to find the correct email.

Email Verification and Password Reset

Go to the website where you can check the mailbox for the email address you entered earlier.

Open the email titled "[Firescope 파이어스코프] Password Reset" sent by Firescope to view its contents.

Click on the link that starts with https://roasting-6f8d9.firebaseapp.com in the email content to go to the password reset page.

On the password reset page, enter your desired password and click the "SAVE" button to complete the reset. (The password should be at least 6 characters long and include both letters and numbers.)

After completing the reset, log in again within the Firescope app.

If the reset process doesn't work as described

  • If the password input field turns red, try a password that is at least 6 characters long and includes both letters and numbers.

  • If you see a message like the one in the screenshot below, it means it has been too long since the password reset email was sent. In this case, go back to the "Sending Password Reset Email" section to send the reset email again.
