Modbus (Easyster)

1. In the Firescope main menu, click Machine.

2. Click Add New Machine to open the dialog. Enter the machine's nickname, manufacturer, and temperature unit of your roasting machine.

3. From the Preset dropdown, select Common MODBUS Serial (or Delta if your temperature controller is a Delta model).

4. Click the Serial Port drop-down to select the correct port.

• In Windows, it is usually a port other than COM1 and COM2. (COM3, COM4, ....).

• On a Mac, a serial port in the format /dev/tty.usbserial-XXXXXXX.

5. Click Add New Machine, then select the roasting machine. If set up correctly, the temperature should display in the bottom left corner within 10 seconds.
